Hey there, I’m Heather! The coffee-loving, dog-loving, sun-loving person behind this blog.
When I’m not doing my day job of running events and managing partnerships for a software company (which I love!) I’m devouring everything I can about design, style, productivity, organisation (and anything else related to making my daily life more beautiful or more efficient).
As I approach middle age (wait, am I already there?!) I am becoming obsessed with ways to destress my life. Less decision fatigue, less overwhelm, more freedom and ease. My current project is decluttering my life one space at a time … starting with my wardrobe!
I’VE LIVED IN A FEW PLACES…
I’ve lived in 4 countries not including my home country of Canada. I’m now firmly settled in Australia (for the 2nd time). I love the beach and have mainly lived in countries with mild winters and beaches!

My favourite social media is Instagram. I might be one of the few people that loves the ads I get shown because I’ve trained the algorithm so well!

In a café! I love working from a cafe, chilling in a cafe, having breakfast by the beach in a cafe. I love checking out cute cafes in my city and when I travel! I’m all about a good cappuccino and vibe.

ABOUT THIS BLOG
I needed a project, so i created one.
At this stage in my life, I’ve done a lot, lived a lot of places and now I’m looking for ways to stretch myself creatively and always be learning. There has to be more to life than the gym, work and Netflix!
So I thought why not document my journey to this #declutteredlife and see what happens. Maybe no one reads it, maybe one person does. It’s more about the exercise of consistency and follow through than the blog and socials.
This project is a labour of love and exploration. I’m determined to see if I can build a life with less and if it’s really all it’s cracked up to be. If you care to find out, follow along here or on the ‘gram (do we still call it that?) @girlseeksbeach
